In an utterly shocking move, Barack Obama went from “presumptive nominee” to “nominated nominee.” Obama, who stated continuously during his four year long campaign that he would not accept the nomination, indeed has accepted the nomination. Asked if he was concerned that his campaign would be hurt by the apparent “flip-flopping,” Obama replied, “I don’t think there is anything to be concerned about, because if elected President, I have no intention to actually accept the Presidency.” Pundits were quick to point out that he said the same thing about the DNC nomination just hours before changing course.

Obama, who was expected to make an eloquent speech about why he could not accept the nomination, began his speech with his surprise:

Fellow Democrats, as you know, I have spent four years and hundreds of millions of dollars on my campaign. I have made eloquent speeches and raised the hopes of all who value change, life, change, goodness, change, love and change. However, you were also aware that I would not accept your nomination. But I’m here today to tell you that I have changed course. And I will indeed accept your nomination.

As one would imagine, this came as a complete surprise, so the cheers of the crowd were wild and emotional.

The Clinton campaign responded by saying that while they understood that Obama had earned the right to accept the nomination, Hillary would have pursued other avenues if she had known such a flip flop was even possible. The McCain campaign in turn responded by saying: “It comes as no surprise to us that such an inexperienced politician would inexperiencedly change his inexperienced mind on this inexperiencable nomination. While we understand that he has an inexperienced right to accept the inexperienced nomination, we have to wonder if the real American Patriots, the ones who don’t cut and run and cry and whine, would rather have an inexperienced flip-flopper, like Obama, or an experienced one like President McCain. It’s no wonder that such an inexperienced politician has the support of Castro, bin Laden, Admhaa-what-ever-his-name-is in Iran and Satan himself.”

In further news, Obama says that Biden takes home Amtrack conductors every night.

[Joe Biden is] a man at ease with everyone from world leaders to the conductors on the Amtrak train he still takes home every night.

Here's my guess. If the economy goes up, Obama's rating will too. If the economy goes down, so will Obama's rating. Now let's watch it right here. It may not happen immediately, but it will usually follow.
