I mentioned earlier the quote from Palin in which she said that our troops are on a mission from God or at least that is how I (and others) interpreted it. Having heard Palin’s reasoning of the statement and having researched a bit more on the topic, as well as having misread the statement in the first place and subsequently reread with fresh eyes, I think it is only appropriate to correct myself. Palin did not say that the troops were on a mission from God. Palin said that we should pray that the troops are on a mission from God. That is not nearly as bad in my opinion, though prayer itself is utterly ridiculous. Clearly, I allowed my atheist bias to interefere with my interpretation.
